What a wonderful song! Pop music really was something worth listening to back then!
Hahaha, that is probably true. To be honest, I have never gotten into Ella like I should have. Billie Holiday is the master accomplishment of pop vocal achievement, but something about Fitzgerald’s tone just never got me going. Still a wonderful voice, none the less.
Ella's voice is so beautiful and smooth. Billie Holiday's has a very genuine quality to it, and is moving...but still, Ella is definitely my favorite jazz singer.
