Indybay: Help us Moleman!

It looks like Indybay may go “off the air” if they don’t raise a significant amount of money in a short amount of time. How terrible. I almost feel I should give them money for all the hilarious times and great posts they have provided me. But then I saw the Futurama Season 4 DVD at Target for 20 bones, and that was the end of that idea.

“UNLESS INDYBAY RAISES $4000 in 30 days we cannot afford our web hosting and the site will go off the air.”

The horror! Where will I get my daily dose of anti-Semitism and 9/11 conspiracies? I guess there is always the Huffington Post and Frontpage...

Pet peeve of the day: forcing comic books to look exactly like their current movie counterparts. This happens every time a comic book movie is released. Everything in the comic series must perfectly reflect the movie, because it would be too “confusing” for the movie going public who decide to pick up comic books after watching the newest Marvel Comics film.

It may not seem like a big deal to folks who don’t read comics on a regular bases, but it breaks up the continuity of a book when it is forced to conform to the rules and dimensions set by the film it is related to. Spiderman is going to use his black suit in the third film? Well then throw out all the current Spiderman storylines so that we can make the character look exactly like he does in the movie! Brilliant!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

It has been a slow week for bloging simply because I have been busy enjoying the Christmas/ Hanukah holiday. Next week I shall return in full force loyal comrades, but until the 26th, I am celebrating the meaning to this glorious work-free winter.
