It looks like one of the Tree-sitters in Berkeley wasn’t too thrilled with my characterization of their “protest,” and decided to vent a bit in this post’s comments section.
Assuming things don't completely go to hell in Iraq, how well does McCain do in California? Do you know of many left-leaning people who would vote for him?
Thanks for posting on that subject NC, always good to see your contributions.
Steve: it would take an incredible folly of one of the Democratic candidates to lose California. Even though I think McCain has a good chance of taking the center and the right this election, California will almost certainly go to any Democrat that runs. I also don’t know a great deal of lefties that would support McCain, but some of my more pragmatic comrades seem to recognize that Obama would not produce a better or clearer foreign policy. He may get more votes than the last few Republican candidates, but it won’t be enough to take the cake.
Born of parents both recently and distantly American, I was once an activist and advocate for the socialist left. Nowadays, I am a defender of the "Responsibility to Protect" who stands for universal rights and liberty.

I kept reading this headline as:
Pissing *on* tree sitters...
I must need a break from the computer.
Have a nice weekend.
