As everyone is likely aware by now, Christopher Hitchens was beaten by supporters of the Syrian Socialist National Party in Beirut after tagging one of their posters. I’m sure we will get his take on all of this in his Slate column come Monday.
I was interested in seeing what the Hufftards had to say about Hitch’s fight with some fascists, and here are some choice bits.

Some really classy folks over at the Huffingtonpost. Who would have thought that a "lefty" site would attract so many people celebrating fascist goons beating up a journalist?

Yeah, a rare community of shites.
Evolution hasn't got around to those who practice and espouse violence.
I'm not a huge fan of Hitchens but I would crow about his beating.
