Charles Johnson from Little Green Footballs puts Conn Carrol of the Heritage Foundation in his place over the John Birch Society in their latest Blogginheads discussion. Since most of us here are interested in the far left and right, it is well worth your time.

This guy doesn't deny Johnson's critique of The John Birch Society.
He just says it doesn't matter while giving the impression that he doesn't think he knows anything about them
His approach is geared to warding off criticism as being overkill rather than justifying the inclusion of the Birchers at the convention.
This is reflected in his defensive demeanour.
Johnson was straightforward in his opposition but in the part I've watched so far he could have clarified the issue immediately by stating specific Bircher positions he opposes and then asking the other guy to reveal his stance on them.
As it stands it is not concrete enough and this allows the defender to hum and haw
You can delete my comment. I made it before I listened to the whole thing.
Conn Carroll still seems very defensive rather than sure of his position but they got into more details later on
