The New Centrist, I know about C-Span. Yet there were reasons why I didn't use it.

1. I was at home during the DNC convention, and C-Span comes in fuzzy.

2. I was at college during the RNC convention, and I don't have a TV, so I watched on the College's IPTV online service and they didn't have C-SPAN.

3. PBS provided the coverage in widescreen and HD, which was awesome. Also, when commentary came on, I switched to UStreamTV which also provided coverage.

So there were many reasons for tuning in to PBS. I flipped through the channels (Fox, MSNBC, CNN) during the DNC convention, and I was literally about to throw my shoe at my TV.

Yeah, I'm obsessed with politics. Haha.

Daniel, CSPAN provided excellent coverage as well. They allow you to hear the candidates without providing commentary (unlike PBS).

I should also add, that while the Dems would not accept having Fox News moderate one of their debates, no one had a problem with having MSNBC moderate one for either party, even if they have a partisan slant. Just a little hypocrisy for ya.

I agree Daniel. I don’t have a problem with MSNBC trying to be the leftist equivalent to Fox News: lord knows Fox has some blowhard right wing morons as commentators. But When it comes to folks who sit in an anchor chair, and are intended to moderate the debate amongst their commentators, it makes no sense to put someone like Olbermann in that spot. It would be the same if Sean Hannity were in charge of Fox’s election coverage.

The fact that our comrades at Huffington Post don’t seem to see the difference in that is not surprising however. It’s not like Olbermann has been banned from the airwaves.

About time. God, it has gotten to the point where I can't watch the channel anymore. I'm actually disappointed with all of the channels (CNN,FOX,MSNBC), and had to stick to PBS during the conventions (which was far from exciting, ha!).
